Aims and scope

Journal of Chinese Management endeavours to provide the scholars of universities and institution researchers, policy researchers and the businessmen with a platform to exchange ideas on important issues and views that are unique and insightful, focusing on enterprise management, social management, government management, and innovation management in the context of China’s rapid development. Specifically, the journal will mainly cover the following topics:

  • Key issues and hot topics in Chinese enterprise management, social management, government management, sustainable development during the transition process.
  • Innovations in management theory and techniques inspired by Chinese traditional culture and philosophy.
  • International comparisons, especially with regard to management characteristics, among emerging markets.

JCM places emphasis on scientific rigor and robustness in qualitative and quantitative analysis. JCM especially welcome contributions in the following areas:

  • Indigenous Chinese management practices
  • Chinese small business management
  • State-owned enterprises reform of China
  • Business strategy
  • Innovation and R&D management
  • Foreign trade and investment

SpringerOpen will continue to host an archive of all articles previously published in the journal and all articles published in Journal of Chinese Management during its time with SpringerOpen will remain fully searchable via the SpringerOpen website”.
